A CHARITY has pledged its backing for a foodbank.
The support is being provided by Bradford Cinderella Club, which helps disadvantaged youngsters across the district.
"We have agreed funding to ensure there is a stock of children's food for Keighley Foodbank," the charity tweeted.
The donation is the latest in a series provided by the club to Keighley causes.
Last Christmas it supported the annual Keighley toy appeal, organised by the town's Salvation Army and backed by the Keighley News.
The initiative distributed presents to up to 350 disadvantaged children who would otherwise have received nothing on Christmas Day.
Bradford Cinderella Club was formed in 1890.
Its first act was to provide tea and entertainment for 200 poor children from all parts of the borough at The Bradford Coffee Tavern.
