CHURCHES Together in Ilkley will hold an Election Hustings with all six candidates for the Keighley and Ilkley constituency invited. The meeting will be at Christchurch, Ilkley, on Monday May 22 starting at 8pm.

For the past 40 years churches across the country have joined together to run General Election Hustings meetings, which are public meetings where people can listen to and ask questions of the candidates who hope to represent them in the UK Parliament.

Ros Beeson, Moderator , Churches Together in Ilkley said: "We believe that meetings sponsored by the churches provide opportunity for genuine political debate on neutral territory.

"The meeting will be open to everyone and particularly to those who have not yet decided how to vote on June 8. This is your opportunity to hear from the local candidates.

"We welcome questions in advance (email to cti@benrhydding.co.uk), on the door (please arrive early) and we hope to allow some questions from the floor. The candidates will be expected to respond to the questions as they hear them."
