THE LEADERS jerseys and partners for the 2017 Tour de Yorkshire have been unveiled.

The jerseys for the men’s race, which runs from April 28 to 30, are being produced by sportswear brand Le Coq Sportif.

Four new designs have been created to honour the General, King of the Mountains and Sprint Classifications as well as the Most Aggressive Rider on each stage.

Welcome to Yorkshire will sponsor the blue General Classification (overall race leader’s) jersey, while Virgin Trains are the new sponsors of the pink King and Queen of the Mountains jerseys for both the men’s race and Asda Women’s Tour de Yorkshire.

Yorkshire Bank, for the third year, will be sponsoring the green Sprint Classification jersey and Yorkshire Bank Bike Libraries have been confirmed as the official naming partner for the final, Bradford to Fox Valley, Sheffield stage.

Dimension Data also return for a third season to sponsor the grey Most Aggressive Rider jersey - a prize decided by a public vote.

The Tour is organised by Amaury Sports Organisation and Welcome to Yorkshire.

Welcome to Yorkshire's Chief Executive Sir Gary Verity said: "The designs of this year’s jerseys look fantastic and we’re hugely grateful to all our partners for the great work they do in supporting the Tour de Yorkshire.

"The race would not take place without their backing and I’d like to thank them and all the other people that help us make it such a success."

Other companies supporting the event include Doncaster Sheffield Airport and Flybe, who have joined forces again to sponsor the Team Classification in both races.

Asda remain the official naming partner of the Asda Women’s Tour de Yorkshire, which takes place on Saturday, April 29, and will present the blue jersey to the winner of that race.

Aunt Bessie’s are supporting the women’s sprint jersey while Mug Shot return to sponsor a brand-new initiative to support the youngest British rider in the women’s race.

Finally JCT600, in association with Mercedes, are continuing as the official vehicle provider for both races, Tissot return as official timekeepers and Mavic will be the official neutral race support partners.
