ILKLEY Camera Club challenges visitors to spot the fakes in its latest free exhibition which opens at Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley, on Saturday (April 29).

There are 28 images that prompt the question 'Can You Believe Your Eyes?'. Which are the true images and which are the fakes? An example is ‘Penrose Paradox’. Do the dice really run round as they appear, or has photographer Sharon Sawyer used sleight of hand? And if it is a fake, how was it done? The photographers reveal their secrets at the exhibition.

There is also general photography including landscapes, portraits, nature photographs, architecture and travel, such as the sunny scene entitled ‘Well, Hellooo’ captured by Geoff Smith. In total there are 120 stunning images on show. The Ilkley Club is one of the top rated camera clubs in Yorkshire so the standard is high and the range of work is impressive.

The exhibition runs until July 16, open Tuesdays to Sundays plus Bank Holiday Mondays. On eight Saturdays there will be free talks on photography and how to improve your camera skills: May 6, 20 and 27, June 3, 17 and 24 June, and July 1 and 15. These run from 11.30am to 1pm. Visitors can book the talks with the Museum. There are further details on the club’s website.
