A PROCESSION of scouts and civic dignitaries is due to take place in Skipton on Sunday for the annual St George's Day parade.
Scouts from across Craven will parade through the town and up the High Street for a service at Holy Trinity Church at 3pm.
The service and parade will be attended by Skipton Mayor, Cllr Martin Emmerson, and chairman of Craven District Council, Cllr Chris Moorby.
To make sure the parade goes smoothly and safely, some streets will be closed for a short while between 2.30pm and 3pm.
Dave Parker, chief officer of Skipton Town Council, said he hoped everyone would be patient. "To allow for the safe passage of the parade, some streets in the town centre, including the High Street, will be closed to traffic for short periods between around 2.30pm and 3pm. We would ask drivers to be patient while we help our local young people take part in this annual parade. Any delays should only be for a few minutes."
