THOUSANDS of Burley residents and visitors from across the region are expected again at the very popular Classic Show at Burley Cricket Ground.

This event - one of the pillars of Burley Summer Festival – is free to attend and takes place on Sunday, August 20. On this day there will also be a number of other Festival events taking place for all the family, including family fun in Grange Park, a Food and Drink market, an Arts and Craft market, a Vintage Fair and music from Silsden Town Band and the Burley Ukulele Jammers.

The Classic Show is attractive to both exhibitors and spectators alike, with over 300 vehicles on display last year. Over 150 exhibitors have already secured their place for this August's event, this includes entries from the Aston Martin Owners Club, The MG Car Club, Yorkshire Rover Club, Chevin Motor Club and Ilkley & District Motor Club.

Organiser, Harvey Bosomworth said: "Due to the fantastic response we receive each year from exhibitors, we strongly advise anyone looking to exhibit a vehicle registers a place as soon as they can in order to guarantee a place.

"Additionally, the continued growing success of the Burley Classic Show requires us to expand our team of volunteers and marshals. I ask anyone who is interested to get in touch to find out more."

Anyone wishing to do so can obtain an entry form at www.burleyclassicshow.org There's no entry fee for exhibitors, although there is a suggested donation of £5.
