A COMMUNITY interest company is raising funds to support a Silsden mum undergoing cancer treatment.

Been Busy – based in Kirkgate, Silsden – is staging a series of activities to boost the Sally Major campaign.

Sally is currently at a German clinic receiving bowel cancer treatment, costing thousands of pounds. It is not available on the NHS.

Angela Malcolm – founder of Been Busy, which provides an outlet for craftspeople – has donated £60 from a bonus-ball-style raffle. A floral arrangement was donated by Janet Thomas and Janet Phyllis, of JJ jewellery and flowers.

On Friday (Mar 31), a French evening with wine and nibbles is being run by Catherine Teachup.

And on Saturday, there will be a crafts taster day with ten different sessions to choose from.

"We're also running a loose change competition – with a voucher for a night's bed and breakfast accommodation in the Lake District on offer or a tin of chocolates for younger people!" said Mrs Malcolm.

"We have chocolate and bottle hampers to raffle and lots of crafters have donated items for sale.

"All proceeds will go directly to Sally."
