VOLUNTEERS from several Keighley organisations were among those who completed a first aid course led by Bradford Council.

Cliffe Castle Park Conservation Group, the Friends of Devonshire Park, Airedale Beekeepers, Forest of Bradford and the Bradford Works/Cellar Trust collaboration were represented.

The session was promoted through Keighley's Green Space Forum.

Dan Palmer, heritage parks officer with the council, said: "The course was paid for by capital Heritage Lottery Fund money and should allow for safer working environments, events and volunteer-led activities in the area.

"Everyone passed the course and had a great day."
