GREEN Party members from Wharfedale will be taking part in an anti-fracking walk this week.
Town Councillor Mick Bradley (Green, Danefield) will be among those joining day three - the Askwith to Colne section - of the No Fracking Way.
The five day, long distance march from Kirby Misperton to Preston Road, near Blackpool, is being led by the party's national Energy spokesman and Kirklees Councillor, Andrew Cooper.
The protest, to draw attention to and galvanise opposition against fracking sites in the north of England, began on Wednesday and will cover 20 miles each day.
The walk will set off from Askwith at 7.30am on Friday, March 10 and pass through Ilkley and over to Silsden.
Wharfedale residents are invited to take part and can find out more by contacting Cllr Bradley on (01943) 467871, e-mail councillormickbradley@gmail.com .
