A 33-YEAR-OLD man died after being struck by a train on the line between Shipley and Leeds.
The incident, on the line close to Abbey Road, Leeds, caused train cancellations between Bradford Forster Square and Skipton, and Leeds and Guiseley, at just before 6.30pm yesterday. However, they reopened shortly before 8pm.
British Transport Police were in attendance.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers attended alongside paramedics, however a 33-year-old man from Leeds was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been told.
"The man's death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
