YORKSHIRE Water will share detailed sewer repair plans in Ben Rhydding next week.
Earlier this year a sewer, which runs under Bolling Road, was damaged by another company whilst they carried out work. Yorkshire Water needs to replace the section of damaged pipe which is near to the junction with Wheatley Lane.
The company is holding a customer drop-in session between 5pm and 7pm at St John's Church, Bolling Road, Ben Rhydding, LS29 8PN on Wednesday (December 7), so members of the public can find out more about the project.
Jonathan Lemoine, Yorkshire Water project manager said: “We’ll be using traffic lights on Bolling Road for about three months so we can work safely. The location of the sewer and the machinery needed for the repair means that sometimes there will be less parking available on the road as some parking bays will be temporarily affected.
“We are due to begin the repairs in the second week of the New Year but want to talk to the local community first to see if our plans raise any concerns. Having the meeting early in December will give us time to change our plans to take into account any issues raised at the meeting so we can minimise any disruption.”
Residents and interested parties are invited to drop in anytime between 5pm and 7pm on 7 December to view the detailed plans and chat to the project team.
