A 'SPOOKY' shop is to close nine years to the day after opening in Otley - on Hallowe'en.

Patsy's Wicca Basket, on New Market, has been selling its unusual wares and offering clairvoyancy services since October 31, 2007.

Owner Suzanne Freer, a white witch, named the business after her late mother and says she will be closing up with a heavy heart.

The decision, though, is linked to a rising demand for her therapy services - which include Reiki and reflexology - and to new spiritual retreats she is running on Guernsey.

She will also continue to offer local readings and therapies 'just up the road', at Guiseley.

Suzanne said: "I have had the most amazing years here and have loved every moment but it is now time for Otley's white witch, spiritual medium/healer and Reiki master-teacher to move on with her new adventure.

"The lease was up for renewal so it seemed the right time to make the move.

"I am so busy with my readings now and have clients worldwide, from Dubai to Australia and America and many more places.

"I have opened a new therapy room up in Guiseley where I will be available for private reading, Reiki treatments and running my development groups and workshops, having merged Patsy's Wicca Basket with my new venture,

Between Worlds.

"I have also been lucky enough to have been working in the Channel Islands, so next year I will be running a couple of special spiritual retreats there.

"I'd like to take this opportunity now to thank everyone for their wonderful support over these last nine years.

"I truly have met and made some lovely friendships along the way and I will greatly miss the other shopkeepers, café owners and market traders who have all enriched my stay here.

"Lastly, thanks also for the wonderful loving support from my three wonderful sons."

Between Worlds, which sells crystals and jewellery, can be found on Facebook and Suzanne is also setting up a website.
