BEAMSLEY Beacon and Addingham are among the starting points for some of the latest guided walk organised by Bradford Council’s Countryside Service.

Earl Crag near Cowling is the first destination, with walkers invited to meet Ray Wood at Ickornshaw Village near the church, at 10.30am on Sunday, for the circular six-mile walk, taking in Wainmans Pinnacle and Lunds Tower.

Ancient Place Names and Kex Beck is the title of a circular five-mile walk on Tuesday, looking at old hamlets and how they got their names.

Walkers should meet Anne Hodgson at 10.30am in the small car park at the foot of Beamsley Beacon.

There will be A View From Baildon Hill on August 14 during a two-mile circular walk.

Meet Eddie Nash at 11am at the entrance to Ian Clough Hall car park, next to the roundabout in Baildon town centre, for a gentle incline to experience the panoramic views.

Coming up are walks in Addingham (August 17), Stanbury (August 21), Marley (August 24) and Saltaire (August 28).
