WORKS of two Ilkley artists have gone up on public display in the middle of Bradford.

Creations by painter and printmaker Joy Godfrey and textile designer Beryl Hammill are being shown on the big screen in City Square throughout August.

The display is part of an initiative to promote local art and artists by Colin Neville, curator of the Not Just Hockney website, and Bradford UNESCO City of Film.

The project involves presenting the work of five local artists each month on the big screen at 12.30pm daily.

The six-minute presentations feature three images of each artist's work, accompanied by brief profile details.

This month, in addition to the two Ilkley artists, the work of Bingley nail sculptor Marcus Levine, Keighley artist Ben Snowden and Bradford printmaker June Russell will also be shown.
