A YEADON nursery is throwing an exciting garden party to raise money for bereaved families who have suffered the loss of a baby.

The charity garden party will take place on Saturday, from 11am to 1pm, at Cliffe House Private Day Nursery in South View Road in support of Harrogate-based charity Our Angels.

There will be activities and games for children, as well as the chance to explore Cliffe House’s nature garden, barked play area, mud kitchen and vegetable patch.

Hook-a-duck, spin the wheel, guess the name of the teddy, beanbag throwing, lucky dip and arts and crafts are just some of the exciting activities children will be able to enjoy. Grown-ups will be invited to take part in a tombola and buy tea, coffee and juice, along with a selection of delicious homemade cakes, buns and biscuits. Tasty samples from the nursery’s healthy homemade food menu will also be available.

Entry is free and all are welcome.

Cliffe House Nursery manager, Emma Smith, said: "The nursery staff at Cliffe House feel it’s important to fundraise for charities that support our local families, so we’re hoping to raise as much money for Our Angels as possible.

“I’m looking forward to seeing lots of familiar faces at the garden party, as well as meeting new people from the community.

“It will be a lovely opportunity for us all to get together in support of a wonderful cause.

“We have our fingers crossed for good weather, but it we do have a downpour, it won’t dampen our spirits, we’ll just have to move the attractions indoors!”
