BANDS are lined up to play in the Guiseley Music Festival at the Station Hotel on Sunday when the car park will be taken over by music lovers as the charity event gets underway.
The first festival took place in 2007 following an idea by then landlord, Tony McCaul, and a member of his bar staff, Simon Stokes. Tony has run a succession of successful festivals since then.
Sunday’s event will be the first to be run by the Station’s new manager, Richard Slatcher, but Tony will be back to MC the event.
The first festival raised funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust, and a succession of charities have benefitted since.
Sunday’s event starts at noon and performing will be The Witness, Tunnel, Stealing Tamar, Jess Huxham, Grit ‘N Gold, Lost Meridian, The Elephant Trees, Lone Guns, White Orchid and headliners De Silva.
Beneficiaries this year will be Guiseley in Bloom, Guiseley Senior Citizens and The Teenage Cancer Trust.
There will be an outside bar, barbecue, children’s rides and other entertainment.
