A COMPANY which offers "Billy Connolly" style trips through the Yorkshire Dales has won a prestigious tourism award.
Yorkshire Trike Tours scooped silver in the Small Visitor Attraction of the Year category at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2016 Ceremony.
The Horsforth-based company was presented with its Silver Award at a glittering ceremony at The Winter Gardens in Blackpool on March 8.
Managing Director, Judith Richards said “I am not sure it has quite sunk in yet. We are so proud and thrilled to have achieved this national award and we look forward to a great season. Thanks are due to our team and our amazing customers."
Judith and her husband Jason launched the company in 2013 and offer a "fabulously exhilarating way to experience the Yorkshire
Dales at their finest, on the back of a 'Billy Connolly' style motor trike."
With 30 routes to chose from customers are offered refreshment stops, wet weather clothing and a commentary en route.

Winning a Silver is therefore a considerable achievement and one of the highest accolades for excellence in tourism which VisitEngland can bestow. I warmly congratulate Yorkshire Trike Tours".
