RESTAURANT chain Carluccio's will add its blend of modern Italian all-day day dining and shopping to Ilkley when it arrives in town next week.

Carluccio’s will be located at the former Grove restaurant in The Grove, catering for 100 diners inside and 40 outside on the south-facing terrace.

The restaurant plans to open for breakfasts, lunches, dinners and everything in between.

There will be a food shop filled with artisan products imported directly from Italy, with a delicatessen featuring fresh produce from 'grab and go' meals to cheeses, hams and olives.

The company says that from two exclusive blends of coffees and pastries to antipasti sharing boards, small plates, handmade pasta and seasonal mains, all of owner Antonio Carluccio’s recipes reflects his philosophy – minimum fuss, maximum flavour.

Many ingredients are sourced from small Italian producers, and dishes are modern takes on classics.

The attached shop will stock pesto, pasta, porcini, prosecco and preserves sitting alongside olive oils, balsamic vinegars, biscuits and chocolate, all made in Italy using time-honoured recipes.

The deli plans to cater for those on the move, with dishes such as ciabatta sandwiches, freshly made pasta and salads, as well as indulgent tarts and cakes.

The business will open in Ilkley on Monday.
