A BUSINESS in Ben Rhydding has created a community window for organisations and residents to showcase their work.

The founders of Shoo Social Media – Rachel Hatfield and Chris Morris – have two windows at their premises in Bolling Road, which they have turned over for community use.

The window is currently occupied by material from Ilkley Amateur Operatic Society, and will shortly be followed by work from Ilkley landscape photographer, Rupert Nicholson.

Rachel said: "We have two large windows that would be great for any photographer, artist or fashion designer that would like to showcase their work.”

The concept is to give something back to the local community, and businesses have the opportunity to exhibit for free for one month.

Since Ben Rhydding Post Office moved to Valley Drive, says the company, the village no longer has a community focal point, and many companies cannot offer a place for others to visually merchandise their work.

There are still opportunities to exhibit in the window. Call 01943 430245 or e-mail info@shoosocialmedia.co.uk for more details.
