Beeston St Anthony's 6 Otley Town 0

OTLEY Town were ultimately subjected to a ruthless dismantling at the hands of an excellent Beeston St Anthony's side in the West Yorkshire League Premier Division clash.

Town started well with their 4-3-3 set up, but formations do not allow for individual errors and when one came along in the tenth minute, Beeston took full advantage.

Otley competed for the remainder of the first half as they managed cut of the passing lines and frustrate the home side.

Both teams had half chances before the break in what was the a fairly even contest despite Beeston enjoying the lion's share of possession.

Any hope of getting back into the game was quickly extinguished early in the second half.

Poor defending allowed Beeston to score two goals in quick succession. The first came direct from a corner and the second from a set piece.

Thereafter slack play on Town's part turned a bad day into a disappointing one as the home side ran in a further three goals without reply.

Dan Chadwick, Scott Cater and Jack Farrimond stood out in an otherwise disappointing display from Otley, who will surely find struggling Robin Hood Athletic easier opposition when they meet at the Old Showfield this coming Saturday (2pm).
