THE DONKEY Sanctuary's local base will celebrate the charity's 40th anniversary today.
The Leeds centre, at Eccup, is inviting anyone who uses or has used its riding-assisted therapy and their families to enjoy a slice of supersized cake between 3.30pm and 5.30pm on Thursday, November 26.
Each riding therapy user this week has also been receiving a special commemorative gift, and will be able to take part in a celebratory party during their Twilight Session today.
Congratulatory cards and artwork that have been created by the many schools, groups and individuals who have visited the centre have gone up on display, too.
The Eccup centre provides free riding-assisted therapy to children with additional needs every week.
