ILKLEY Grammar School opened its doors to new students and teachers alike this September. As well as the New Year 7 starters the school were delighted to also welcome new members to the teaching team at IGS.

Helen Williams, headteacher, said she was pleased to have been able to slightly expand the teaching team at Ilkley Grammar School for this September, as well as replacing those colleagues who had retired or moved on to pastures new at the end of the summer term.

"We had another busy year with recruitment at IGS last year, but were very fortunate to have attracted and recruited a high calibre staff to replace those colleagues moving on," she said. "We are excited about the year ahead and confident that our new members of staff will pick up the IGS mantle and build on it with enthusiasm and dynamism!”
