BOLTON Abbey Priory Church will hold its latest celebrity organ recital on Sunday.

It will feature Neil Taylor, director of music at Sheffield Cathedral.

He won a scholarship to the Royal College of Music, and whilst a student, was organ scholar at St Alban's Cathedral. On graduating he was appointed assistant organist at Norwich Cathedral and as well as premièring many new works during his time at Norwich, he made numerous broadcasts and recordings with the Cathedral Choir.

He has been organist and director of music at Sheffield Cathedral since 1997 and has toured extensively with cathedral choir both at home and abroad (including Germany, Holland, France, Hungary, the Czech Republic and the USA).

Mr Taylor has played at many of the major venues in the UK and appears frequently with the BBC as musical director and organist on BBC Daily Service, Songs of Praise and Sunday Worship.

The recital will start at 3.30pm.
