A SIDE saddle horseriding demonstration looks set to be one of the highlights of this weekend's Arthington Show.

The 98th Arthington, Bramhope, Pool and District, Horticultural and Agricultural Society event will take place at Pool-in-Wharfedale on Sunday, July 5.

Held as usual on fields by Pool Bridge, the 2015 show also feature children's races, live music, Terrier racing, a gun dog scurry, a gymkhana and spinning and weaving demonstrations.

Younger visitors in particular, meanwhile, should enjoy the donkey rides, fancy dress competition, circus skills workshop, fun dog show and pygmy goats that have been lined up.

On top of that the show will also boast its traditionally wide selection of judging classes - covering everything from produce and arts and crafts to show jumping, vintage tractors, beef cattle and sheep.

Show Secretary Karen Lewis is promising an exciting day of family-focused fun, and just hoping for fine weather to encourage lots of people to come along.

Admission costs £6 for adults or £3 for senior citizens and children under 16, with free parking provided.

Family tickets are also available, priced £15 for two adults with up to three children aged under 14.

The show's first classes will start at 8.30am. For more details visit arthingtonshow.co.uk/ .
