A CONCERT featuring children from Ben Rhydding Primary School is being held to raise funds for a children's charity in Uganda.

Local soprano singer, Elizabeth Frankland, will feature in the concert, in aid of The Revival Centre, Matugga, on Saturday July 11.

There will be guest appearances by Desire Caspers Frankel and Sabrina Caspers Frankel.

The Revival Centre in Mattuga works with orphans and some of the poorest children in Uganda with its principle aim being to educate children out of poverty.

The concert's theme is Songs From The Shows.

Elizabeth visited the centre in Uganda last year to see what she could do to help.

She said: "The visit to Uganda really opened my eyes to the poverty in Uganda. I was really impressed with the work that is being done at the Revival Centre but so much more needs to be done and they have very little funds available. I am delighted that the children from Ben Rhydding Primary School will be helping. Not only are they beautiful singers but they are caring children wanting to help those in need."

The concert's will take place at St John's Church, Ben Rhydding, on July 11, starting at 7pm.

Tickets cost £8 (under 16s are admitted free) and can be obtained from Christchurch Coffee Centre in Ilkley or from Pat Stockdale on (0113) 2842841.
