NEW employment figures show that Yorkshire’s economy is ‘back on track’, according to Liberal Democrat candidate Greg Mulholland.
Data just published by the Office of National Statistics show that 2.52 million people in Yorkshire and Humber are in work , 51,000 more than last year.
The statistics also show that the number of people applying for state benefits has fallen, with 913 currently claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance compared to 1,777 in 2010.
