THE LIFE of Jane Austen will come under the spotlight in a lecture at Rawdon Community Library.
Marilyn Joice, who is a member of the northern branch of the Jane Austen Society, will talk about the people and events that shaped the author’s life. She will also examine the stories behind the writing and publication of her works, from Juvenilia to Sanditon.
Tickets cost £4 in advance or £5 on entry and include refreshments. Phone 0113 391 0440 for further information. The talk is part of an occasional lecture series.
