BOYS from Year 1 at Ilkley’s Moorfield School ventured down to the school grounds to inspect progress on their new sports facility.
The boys were pleased to see the diggers hard at work, moving away huge mounds of soil and rock to make space for the new playing surface.
Soon the retaining bank will be fortified and the base for the astroturf will be laid.
School sports coaches James Snook and Josie Vento are as excited as the pupils about the plans for a large astroturf which will provide a first-class sports coaching area.
The development is well under way and should be finished in the spring, enabling Moorfield’s sport to go from strength to strength.
