A STRIKING photograph of an aircraft taking off close to Yeadon Tarn taken by Jean Endersby has won first place in Aireborough Camera Club’s Open Competition.
Jean was also third with a picture of Kirk Lane Park. Second went to Claire Whitaker for her Snow at Nunroyd.
In the primary section Jasmine Small came first with her shot of Yeadon Tarn. Emily Whitaker came second with Park View, and Elizabeth Small was third with Dragonfly.
A spokesman said: “The club would like to thank all the individuals that submitted images for the competition and made the judging so difficult. The club would also like to thank our sponsors Aireborough Neighbourhood Development Forum and Aireborough Rotary for their support in this new project. There will be another competition next year entitled My Yorkshire and entries online as well as prints will be accepted.”
