A SECOND feature-length documentary film about the work of media studies students at Ilkley Grammar School is to be released this week.

Produced and edited by media teacher Dave Burrowes, the film was inspired by the effort and creativity of this year’s students, who achieved some of the best results in the country, including a remarkable 93 per cent average mark on the final coursework unit.

It also reflects a tipping point, with many past IGS media students now graduating and moving into employment around the country – and abroad – and themselves beginning to produce the type of material they once studied on the course.

Horror and rom-com film pieces are included, some not suitable for under-12s, as well as a range of music videos for tracks by well-known artists.

The DVD is being sold for requested donations of £1 plus, with all proceeds going towards the Movember charity, which seeks to raise awareness around male cancers.

Copies of the film are available through the school reception.
