ONE of Ilkley's visitor attractions is again flying the flag for the town after gaining a coveted accolade from environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.
Darwin Gardens Millennium Green, Wells Road, was recently named as one of just 1,476 parks and green spaces across the country to gain a Green Flag Award.
The award recognises quality green spaces in the community.
The gardens, created on overgrown parkland by a community group as a Millennium project, are today managed by Ilkley Parish. Council. The council's project manager, Heathcliffe Bowen, and chairman, Councillor Andrew Walbank, joined gardening contractor Phill Judd at Darwin Gardens for the reinstatement of the gardens' very own Green Flag.
