Prince Henry's Grammar School has enjoyed its best ever results, according to Headteacher Janet Sheriff .

She said: "There is excellent news today regarding our results at KS 4. Despite what has been described as very 'volatile' results across the country our students have achieved the best ever results for Prince Henry's, with 75% of students achieving 5A*- C including English and Maths. This is a 12 per cent increase on the 63 per cent achieved last year and 3 per cent better than our previous best in 2012. Our English Baccalaureate figure has also increased once again to 55 per cent.

"There are some amazing individual successes at all levels of achievement as well as an impressive number of students securing grade A or A* in all of their GCSEs – there are too many to mention them all here but of special note are: Lena Jasim (14 GCSEs at A* or A), Megan Shields (12 GCSEs with 11 at A*), Bethany Searle (13 GCSEs with 10 at A*), Aisling Hough (11 GCSEs with 10 at A*) and James Burgess (12 GCSEs with 9 at A*).

"I am extremely proud of all of our Year 11 students - they have worked extremely hard to secure this success. Their effort and commitment, together with the expert teaching, guidance and support from our dedicated staff means that the vast majority now have the grades they need to progress to the next stage of their learning.
