ADDINGHAM'S long association with ducks is being celebrated with some unconventional road markings as the Tour de France visits this week.
The Tour Addingham group in the village has been out with removable paint, decorating roads around with village with colourful yellow duck and duckling designs.
Addingham normally boasts its own 'duck crossing' signs, warning motorists driving along main street to be on the lookout for pedestrians with webbed feet.
But the top riders in the Grand Depart - as well as the expected television cameras - may also get a surprising quick glimpse of the yellow ducks as the race flashes through the village on Saturday and Sunday.
