Singers are invited to join in a nostalgic concert, which will take audiences back to the eve of the start of the First World War.
The Overture to the Great War concert, featuring music popular in 1914 will take place at St Margaret’s Church, Queens Road, Ilkley, on Saturday, August 2.
Tickets for the concert are now on sale, but organisers are also offering members of the community a chance to take part in this commemorative event.
A rehearsal will take place at 2pm on the door, and singers can come and sing for £5.
The concert itself begins at 7.30pm.
Audience tickets are £8 for adults and £6 for concessions. They are available from Ilkley Visitor Information Centre, Station Road, (01943) 602319, or Grove Music (Grove Bookshop), The Grove, (01943) 817301, and on the door.
