Ilkley-based artist and photographer Rich Bunce has received a commendation in the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition.
Rich’s photograph of foxgloves along Hadrian’s Wall in the Northumberland National Park held off competition from around the world to get shortlisted in the wildflower landscapes category.
Titled Hadrian’s Gloves, the wild foxgloves in his photo grow by a popular walking route that runs along Hadrian’s Wall overlooking Crag Lough.
“I’m delighted to have this particular image selected for the International Garden Photographer of the Year,” he said. “It was a really grey day when I took the photo, I’m always saying in my workshops that you can take great photos in any weather, now I have a great example that I can use!”
