There are only two weeks to go until the annual Ilkley Rotary Pancake Races, which take place along The Grove on Shrove Tuesday – March 4.
As usual more than 200 schoolchildren will be competing, followed by the adult races for businesses and individuals. Participants are encouraged to don fancy dress for the occasion.
The pancake races start at 10.45am, with the adult races starting at about noon and the last race is expected to be at about 1pm. The event is organised every year by the Rotary Club of Ilkley and the main sponsors are Dacre, Son & Hartley, Mortens of Ilkley, Bettys Cafe & Shop Ilkley and Stray FM.
Schoolchildren need to enter via their schools. Businesses and individuals can enter via e-mail to rotaryclubilkley@hotmail.co.uk, phone 07850 999929 or just arrive at the Bandstand on The Grove on the day.
