Otley Courthouse is celebrating being awarded an Arts Council England grant.
The arts centre will use the funds to appoint a marketing and development worker to help further increase its event audiences and visitor numbers.
The award comes just a few months before the Courthouse celebrates its tenth anniversary, in May, with a bumper month of exhibitions, workshops and other special activities.
Centre manager Chloe Perry said: “It couldn’t be a better time for a new member of the team to start, as they will see everything that is great about the Courthouse in one month, and also see the ways in which we can make things better.
“The Courthouse is a wonderful venue and a fantastic place to work.
“For many years we’ve been punching above our weight, managing the various uses of the building for our arts programme, regular activities, private parties, conferences and room hire with a tiny team of staff and many, very committed, volunteers.
“Another member of staff will allow us to consolidate our work and ensure that everyone knows about the breadth of activities happening on site to ensure we have another ten successful years.”
Applications for the role are open and will close on Wednesday, February 19. Full details are at otleycourthouse.org.uk.
