Students at Ilkley Grammar School are busy putting in the rehearsal hours for their upcoming staging of The Seven Ages of Man. The shows will take place on Tuesday, February 18, Wednesday, February 19 and Thursday, February 20.

Shakespeare’s famous speech from As You Like It - “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages” - provides the structure for this year’s school production.

Jess Watson, teacher in Drama and English, said: “Students are using a lively combination of art, dance, drama, media, music and song to take the audience through the stages from infancy to old age.”

This year more than 100 students are involved in the production from year seven up to year 13, and they are building on strong foundations to engage audiences yet again in 2014.

Tickets are £5 and £3 (concessions) and are available from reception.
