May I, through your paper, thank Tim and Helen Wilkinson, together with the Otley Chamber of Trade, for the magnificent Christmas Tree Festival held recently in Otley Parish Church. It was truly a sight not to be missed.
The Otley Friends of Martin House were pleased to be invited to decorate one of the 40 or so natural trees given by Stephen Smith’s Garden Centre. A collection bucket left by our tree provided £236 in much needed funds for the children’s hospice, to pay for the cost of supporting about 400 sick children and their families. To those who donated cash may we offer our heartfelt thanks. Once again the generous folk of Otley and the surrounding area have come up trumps.
