Rudolph and the Christmas Fairy delighted children when they went to a Horsforth school.

The festive visitors greeted youngsters in a grotto at Froebelian School.

All the parents, teachers and children got into the seasonal spirit and dressed in their Christmas jumpers to enjoy hot chocolate, mulled wine and mince pies – raising more than £1,200 for the PTA.

Young carol singers from the school raise £112 for Guide Dogs for the Blind when they took part in Carols on the Green in Horsforth.

Headmaster John Tranmer said: “It has been a fantastic weekend for the school, thank you to everyone for all their help in making the weekend such a success and helping to raise so much money for the PTA and the School’s charity.”
