Otley Courthouse ‘welcomed’ a host of Hollywood stars to Otley over its autumn season through its Movie Matinees.
Anthony Hopkins, Leonardo DiCaprio, Helen Mirren, and Russell Crowe were among the celebrated actors who provided introductions to a variety of acclaimed movies.
Now Otley Film Society and the venue have decided, due to popular demand, to run the programme again in the spring – once again featuring movies from the past few years that have been lapped up by critics and audiences.
The spring season of Movie Matinees will screen Love is All You Need, starring Pierce Brosnan, in January; Behind the Candelabra – based upon Liberace’s autobiographical novel – in February; an adaptation of the Dickens classic Great Expectations in March; and the Academy award-winning The King’s Speech in April.
Courthouse centre manager Chloe Perry said: “This will be your chance to see what all the fuss is about with these four fantastic films, and all without having to even leave Otley.”
Admission to each 1.30pm film costs £4, which includes tea or coffee and biscuits, and tickets ca spring in for new season be purchased on the door or in advance by visiting otleycourthouse.org.uk or calling (01943) 476466.
