Leeds City Council planning applications

The following planning applications have been received by Leeds City Council:

Bramhope: detached dwelling to garden plot, land to the rear of 27 Breary Lane. Bramhope: change of use of barn to dwelling and alterations and extension to the residential accommodation of tenant barn, and erect detached double garage barn adjacent to Staircase House, Staircase Lane.

Guiseley: fell one Conifer, and two Norwegian Spruce, 20 Ridgeway. Horsforth: change of use from of club to four flats with two-storey rear extensions, car parking and landscaping, 207–209 New Road Side. Horsforth: two-storey side extension, 63 Southway.

Horsforth: T1 Plum – very light drawback: encroaching property G1; small spec mixed Cypress – remove clump: unsuitable position, no amenity value, growing on top of wall; G2 mature conifer trees – remove: due to size and situation, allowing little light, some limb failure and wanting to re establish new boundary hedge/ tree line; T2 Sycamore – retain but with view to removing ivy; G3 smaller conifer trees forming hedge – to reduce to height of trimmed side, aprox 40 per cent reduction: unsuitable height for aesthetics; T3 mature Beech – retain but with view to remove ivy; G4 tall conifer trees forming hedge line – reduce by 50 per cent: outgrown situation, aesthetics and safety; T4 Hawthorn and ivy mass – remove: growing in unsuitable position starting to bow walls, main reason – customer would like to extend drive entrance so they can use it instead of Outwood Lane drive as is on busy road on bend, concerned for children’s safety when pulling in and out. G5 mixed conifer and variegated holly (small group) – remove to make room for car parking, same reason stated in previous; T5 Fagus – retain, ivy removal at some point. Replanting: 1 Birch 1/2 standard, 2 Birch 1/2 standard, 3 Yew 10l, 4 variegated Ilex 10l, 5 variegated Ilex 10l, 6 Yew 10l, 7 Yew hedge 4ft, 8 individual Yew 10l, 9 variegated Ilex 10l, 10 variegated Ilex 10l, 11 individual Yew 10l. 16 Outwood Lane.

Otley: construction of five light industrial units (B1C / B2 / B8), former social club, Pool Road. Otley: single-storey extension to main entrance of school, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Manor Square. Otley: single-storey rear extension, 4 Fairfax Street. Otley: change of use of travel agent (use class A1) to building society branch (use class A2), replacement of existing shop front, internal alterations, 29 – 31 Kirkgate.

Otley: two-storey side extension and new window opening to first floor rear, 32 Duncan Avenue. Otley: change of use of first and second floor to form three flats; alterations including dormer windows, railings, screens and external staircase to rear, 10–14 Market Place. Rawdon: retrospective application for single-storey rear extension, Carr Croft, 101 Leeds Road.

Yeadon: detached garage to front, 2 Westfield Close. Yeadon: single-storey, two-storey and first floor side extension including steps to side, 45 Brooklands Crescent. Yeadon: various pruning work to 4 Sycamore, 1 Cherry and 1 Lime, also fell 1 Rowan. Maria Regina Convent, Cemetery Road.
