With Christmas in sight and the cold weather setting in, the Ilkley British Heart Foundation shop is urgently appealing to local residents to search through their wardrobes for unwanted warm jumpers, coats, shoes, boots and jackets.

All of the profits raised from donations will go into the fight against heart disease and fund the BHF’s life-saving research.

Area manager for BHF shops, Julie Clegg, said: “We absolutely rely on the support of the local community to keep us running and without their vital donations, we cannot meet the demand for good quality winter clothing.”

“If each household were willing to spend half an hour having a winter clear-out and donated items to the Ilkley BHF shop, located at 2 Brook Street, it would help to save lives. Just one item or many will help to make a difference.”

The Ilkley shop also offers a free collection service, call (01943) 605289 to arrange.

The Ilkley shop team would like to thank all of its valued customers and volunteers for their continuous support and look forward to another successful year.
