Stormy weather last week brought down trees and branches, causing disruption to local train services and partly blocking a busy road in Ilkley.
Vehicles struggled to pass a large pine tree which blew down in high winds last Thursday morning (December 5), across Cowpasture Road in Ilkley.
The tree fell from the grounds of the Craiglands Hotel, close to the entrance to Ilkley Grammar School. Many drivers turned back, and heavy goods vehicles were among those trying to inch their way past the fallen tree.
Pictured above is a large tree that was blown over in the wind at East Holmes Fields, near New Brook Street Bridge in Ilkley. The picture was taken by Max Crane, manager of La Stazione coffee shop.
