ST JOHN’S CHURCH: As the summer season moves on towards autumn, St John’s has in mind the great festival of harvest which it will celebrate with the annual service on Sunday, October 6. There are also moves afoot which will see the church heating, a matter of some concern during the past two winters, being upgraded. With this in mind on Sunday, September, at 11.30am there will be a meeting of all who undertake any form of worship at St John’s to examine the proposals, ask questions and raise points of concern. It is hoped there will be a big response. And, with the return of families back from holidays and children to school, we welcome the new season of Little Hands for younger children and parents in the parish room, and the Open the Book team visiting Menston Primary School, both on Wednesdays at 10am. Services on Sunday are 8am holy communion, 9.15am Let’s Worship and 10.30am parish eucharist.
