11:00am Wednesday 20th March 2013 in News
Children and teenagers are being invited to a workshop which will lead to a production of the hit musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
The CarpetBaggers Theatre Group will present the show, from July 24 to July 27, at Guiseley Theatre.
“We are so pleased to be putting on this show,” said director and chairman Steven Clark.
“Joseph holds many special memories for me as a child, it was my main introduction to musical theatre. I hope for others it can be their introduction too,” he said
“The workshop is going to be the first stage of our Joseph process, bringing all the children together, to create a routine and introduce the characters and music and show them the exciting set that we will be performing on.
“CarpetBaggers encourage talent and we are offering our production to any youngster who has the ability to sing, dance and act on stage.”
CarpetBaggers are inviting youngsters aged between 6 and 18 to attend their workshop, on Sunday March 24, at Centre Stage Academy, Sizers Court, Yeadon. The event is from 1pm to 4pm and children are requested to come in gym wear.
Joseph will be presented for five performances. The show features hit songs such as 'Any Dream Will Do' and 'Close Every Door'.
