Children's classics day at Ilkley school
Staff and pupils at an Ilkley school dressed up as characters from their favourite books for World Book Day.
Moorfield School, Ben Rhydding Road, even had a visit from Mary Poppins as pupils celebrated classic children’s books. The day coincided with Moorfield’s Week of Words, where the pupils had a spellathon, poetry workshop and recital. There was also a competition to see how many children’s classic books they could read.
