Children at the nursery at Westville House School have been taking full advantage of the ‘Thursday Club’ sessions which run at the school in Carter’s Lane, Middleton, Ilkley.

The youngsters, aged three and four, were joined last week by some of the Year 6 children who enjoyed spending time reading to them and helping them to play games.

Members of the community and their toddlers are also frequent visitors to the Thursday Club, where they can take part in creative activities, music and outdoor play.

To mark World Book Day today, children were invited to attend the afternoon’s session dressed as their favourite book character.

Thursday Club runs from 1.30pm to 3pm every Thursday afternoon during term time. There is no need to book, just come and join in the fun.
