Concerns over new Ilkley homes are over-ruled

A contested plan for six houses on a field in Ilkley has got the green light, despite concerns one of the buildings would loom over a neighbour’s garden.

David Whittiker was first given outline planning permission for houses on land at Cheltenham Avenue in 2010, when he intended to build houses in the style of a converted barn. He has since submitted more detailed plans for the site, this time for six semi- detached houses.

The new application went before Bradford Council’s Keighley planning committee.
