Otley Carnival gets two extra sponsors

Two more local businesses have volunteered to sponsor the 30th Otley Carnival.
The Complete Care Agency and Wharfe-bank Business Centre have been announced as the latest supporters of the annual event, which attracts thousands of people and last year enjoyed one of its biggest-ever parades.
The carnival comm-ittee is hoping to lay on an extra-special anniversary attraction in 2013, bolstered by such support.
Chairman Geoff Wright said: “The cost of staging Otley Carnival rises in-exorably every year, so an appeal recently went out to local businesses to consider supporting this popular local event as a sponsor or patron.
“Despite the prob-lems that all businesses are facing in the present economic climate, we were pleased to receive a very positive response and are delighted to welcome the Complete Care Agency and Wharfebank Business Centre as new sponsors for the 2013 event.”
